London, May 14 /Xin Hua/ — The UK Health Minister Wes Streeting resigned on Thursday, which increased pressure on the country’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer amid growing rumors of a possible leadership contest in the Labour Party.
In his resignation letter published on the social network X, W. Streeting stated that he “has lost trust” in the leadership of K. Starmer and can no longer “on principle” remain in the government.
Late in the office of the British Prime Minister at Downing Street, it was reported that K. Starmer is ready to repel any attempts to replace him and has no intention of resigning. –0–
