As part of participation in the International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum” and acquaintance with leading industrial enterprises of Tatarstan, PJSC “KAMAZ” was visited by representatives of the media from Islamic world countries.
The delegation included representatives from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Algeria, Egypt, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan. The visit was timed to coincide with the forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum,” which is taking place these days in Kazan, and is aimed at familiarizing with the industrial potential of “KAMAZ” as one of the region’s key enterprises, as well as at developing business contacts.
The excursion program began with a visit to the Visit Center. Opened less than a year ago, the center has since become a place of attraction for guests of “KAMAZ” and Naberezhnye Chelny, a bright spot on the map of industrial tourism in Tatarstan. In this space, visitors were introduced to the key development areas of the company through demonstrations of landmark KAMAZ vehicles, interactive installations, and video materials. The delegation members were told about the role of the enterprise in the country’s economy, the development of production, the company’s labor dynasty, and much more.
At the site of the Scientific and Technical Center, an exhibition of modern KAMAZ automotive technology was presented to the attention of guests – a wide range of high-tech new generation cars K5, the KAMAZ electric bus, and other models demonstrating the company’s capabilities in manufacturing machines for various sectors of the Russian economy.
The final point of the excursion route was a visit to the KAMAZ-Autosport NP, where the KAMAZ-master team is based. Founded in 1988, the Kamaz sports team will celebrate its 38th anniversary in July. This is the only factory team in Russia that successfully represents the country in global motorsports, is a nineteen-time winner of the Dakar Supermarathon, and holds a leading position in the world automobile team rankings. The unique team itself develops, designs, assembles racing trucks, and participates in competitions.
