Beijing, May 14 /Xinhua/ — China is ready to cooperate with the American side to embody a new positioning of bilateral relations into practical steps towards each other and jointly promote the stable, healthy, and sustainable development of bilateral relations, stated an official spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC, Geng Shuang, on Thursday.
Answering a question at another departmental press conference, Guo Cejakun said that on Thursday morning, Chairman of the National People’s Congress Xi Jinping held talks with U.S. President Donald Trump, during which both sides reached a consensus on forming a new positioning regarding the construction of China-U.S. relations of constructive strategic stability, which is expected to become a strategic guideline for bilateral relations over the next three years and even for a longer-term perspective. -0-
