Participants discussed the current status of the construction of the VSM Moscow – Saint Petersburg and the production of high-speed rolling stock.
The project of the first VSM line in Russia includes seven stages of construction. The main volume of construction and installation work is concentrated in the Moscow and Tver regions. After the completion of the work, this section will become a test site for the development of the interaction between the railway track and the first Russian high-speed train. Preparatory work is underway at the remaining stages.
Overall, along the entire VSM route, more than 24 thousand workers and over 10 thousand units of equipment have been involved.
Work continues on the production of a high-speed rolling stock at the “Ural Locomotives” plant in Verkhnyaya Pyshma. The welding and painting of the bodies of the first train’s four cars of VSM have already been completed.
