Another cycle of the All-Russian School Olympiad for the 2025/26 academic year has been completed. In the final of the Olympiad across 24 general education subjects, the number of participants was 9208, which is 397 more compared to the previous year. On average, every 9th participant competed in two subjects simultaneously.

The winners and prize-winners of the intellectual competition were congratulated by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov.

“The All-Russian Schoolchildren’s Olympiad is the largest intellectual competition in Russia. It takes place within the framework of the national project “Youth and Children,” carried out under the directive of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, and helps to identify gifted schoolchildren – our “little stars” from all over the country. More than 8,300 schoolchildren participated in the final competitions, and over 4,000 children became winners and prize-winners. As emphasized by the Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov, the All-Russian Schoolchildren’s Olympiad has maintained its status as the country’s largest intellectual competition for many years, uniting millions of students.

The All-Russian Schoolchildren’s Olympiad is held within the framework of the national project “Youth and Children,” which allows creating equal conditions for the intellectual development of talented children from all regions of the Russian Federation. The top three leaders in the number of finalists were Moscow (3,788 people), Moscow Region (1,116 people), and the Republic of Tatarstan (563 people). At the same time, the geography of the Olympiad is not limited to these regions — every year it covers more and more territories, which is extremely important. Special attention is deserved by the high-quality preparation of the young participants.Among the leading regions of the Russian Federation in terms of the number of winners and finalists of the final are Moscow (1,972 people), Moscow Region (578 people), Saint Petersburg (344 people), and the Republic of Tatarstan (269 people). “The success of the guys, who showed the best results, is also due to their personal perseverance, aspiration to knowledge, and a serious path in science,” noted Sergey Kravtsov.

According to the Minister, the most numerous this year was the Olympiad in informatics, with 1226 schoolchildren from 77 regions of the country participating. It was held for the first time in four specialized areas: “Programming”, “Information Security”, “Robotics”, and “Artificial Intelligence”. A significant number of children also took part in Olympiads in the following subjects: physics (501 people), mathematics (499 people), and chemistry (490 people).

The number of winners and prize recipients has increased: 732 finalists have been recognized as winners, and 3509 have received prize diplomas. The participants will be able to use benefits when entering leading Russian universities, as well as receive special monetary incentives, including one-time and monthly payments throughout the entire period of study at the university under the framework of the Presidential Grants of Russia.

For the participants of the olympiad finals, scientific and educational events dedicated to the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia were organized, including educational and excursion programs, master classes, lectures, and creative events that allowed them to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the regions, learn about the sights and cultural heritage of the subjects of the Russian Federation. The finalists of the olympiad and accompanying persons took part in more than 35 educational events and visited more than 100 excursions.A significant contribution to the conduct of the Olympic finals was made by the venues for the final stage in the form of organizing committees, juries, and appeals commissions. Participants of the Olympics and accompanying persons noted the high level of organization and conduct of the event.

The opening and closing ceremonies of the olympic finals in all subjects, as well as other events, were broadcast live.

The All-Russian Schoolchildren Olympiad is the largest-scale intellectual competition in Russia, organized by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. It includes four stages: school, municipal, regional, and final. Diplomas of winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad, valid for four years, grant the right to enter leading Russian universities without entrance examinations for the corresponding specialty.

Winners and prize-winners of the final stage of the All-Russian Schoolchildren Olympiad can become participants in training and preparatory camps for the preparation and formation of national teams of the country to participate in the international olympiad.
