Chongqing, May 10 /Xinhua/ — Two people died, six were injured as a result of a road traffic accident (RTA) that occurred in the city of Chongqing /Southwest China/ on Sunday, the municipal public safety administration reported.
The incident occurred around 13:40 on Sunday. A 57-year-old female driver with the surname He lost control at an intersection in the Qianjiang district of Chongqing city, which led to a collision of the car with other vehicles and pedestrians. As a result of the accident, two people died, and six others were injured.
Police officers arrived at the scene immediately after receiving the accident report and helped transport the injured to the hospital. The possibility of driving under the influence of alcohol is excluded. An additional investigation into the accident is ongoing.
