Methodology included inRegistry of the Bank of Russia, which determines the order of calculation of the group of exchange and OTC indicators of wholesale prices for gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, fuel oil, and liquefied hydrocarbon gases. It was developed by the Saint Petersburg Exchange.
The methodology was approved by the interdepartmental commission based on the results of discussions with the Federal Antimonopoly Service, relevant departments, and market participants.
Indicators reflect the dynamics of petroleum product prices both for the country as a whole and for individual production territories. Some of them are already used by profile departments and market participants, including as prices for the fulfillment of settlement futures contracts.
Including the methodology in the registry will expand the use of indicators in the market and increase trust in the pricing of financial instruments linked to it.
