Beijing, May 6 /Xinhua/ — The chairman of the All-China Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Wan Chunying, held a meeting on Wednesday in Beijing with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, Khalilur Rahman.
As stated by Wan Xunin, who is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, China will continue to develop friendly relations with Bangladesh based on five principles of peaceful coexistence.
The Chairman of the CPC Foreign Affairs Committee called to strengthen bilateral exchanges at a high level, firmly support each other, deepen cooperation in various fields, promote greater depth and productivity of China-Bangladesh relations as an all-encompassing strategic cooperation and partnership, so that they bring even more benefits to the peoples of both countries. The CPC Foreign Affairs Committee is ready to make an active contribution to this, added Wan Huning.
H. Rahman on his part emphasized that China is a true friend of Bangladesh. According to him, Bangladesh always gives the KN priority in its foreign policy, firmly adheres to the One China principle, considers UN General Assembly resolution 2758 beyond any doubt, and strongly supports China’s national reunification.
Bangladesh intends to restore and develop the historical friendship with China, strengthen practical cooperation, and elevate Bangladesh-China relations to a higher level, said H. Rahman. –0–
