Bogota, May 4 /Sin Hua/ — As a result of an explosion caused by a gas accumulation at a coal mine in the central department of Cundinamarca in Colombia, 14 miners were trapped underground, two others were evacuated, local authorities report.
An explosion occurred at the P3 Carbonera Los Pinos plant in the Penas-de-Bokeron sector of the Sutatausa municipality. As reported on the social network X by the governor of Cundinamarca, Jorge Emilio Rey, the municipal headquarters was immediately activated and the national rescue work protocol at the plant was put into effect. In addition, municipal operational units and technical support services were deployed. –0–
