Islamabad, May 5 /Sina/ — Pakistan Foreign Minister Moeenuddin Ahmad Qureshi stated on Tuesday that efforts to facilitate the cessation of conflict between the USA and Iran are currently ongoing, expressing confidence that mediation activities could lead to a “significant progress.”
Speaking before ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps in Islamabad, M. I. Dar reported that Pakistan is interacting with both sides to ensure a ceasefire and facilitate dialogue. According to him, the goal is to achieve a peaceful settlement acceptable to all parties.
“Our goal as mediators is to convince both sides to reach a peaceful agreement, which the region and the entire world need,” said the head of Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressing hope that the ongoing consultations with the support of a number of countries will help to resolve the conflict on a “win-win” basis. –0–
