PAO “Tutaev Motor Plant”, a subsidiary of “KAMAZ” in the Yaroslavl region, shipped the first serial engine 8807.10-10 with a power of 480 kW (653 hp) to OAO “Gomselmash”. The new TMZ engines of this series replace units previously imported from Europe and the USA.

The joint project of PJSC “TMZ” and OJSC “Gomselmash” started in 2019, when the decision to develop an engine for the FS650 forage harvester was included in the “Program for the Development of Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Yaroslavl Region of the Russian Federation.” The main model of the FS650 combine with the 8807.10-10 engine received positive reviews during field tests in 2022-2025, demonstrating fuel consumption and traction-dynamic characteristics at the level of foreign competitors.

As told by the Deputy Chief Designer of PJSC “TMZ” Alexander Shevtsov, the 8807.10-10 engine was built on the new “Etalon” platform, the development and certification of which was carried out at the Scientific and Technical Center of PJSC “KAMAZ”. The key technical solutions of the “Etalon” platform (new cast iron cylinder head, modernized combustion chamber, electronic control system) provide improved economy and engine resistance to thermal cycling loads, which directly affects the reliability of the powerplant and the vehicle as a whole.

Engines 8807.10-10 are standardized with the series 8481.10 known to consumers, so the enterprise operating the FS650 combines and tractors of the 7th traction class can reduce the time spent on personnel training, use identical operating materials, and unified techniques and methods for technical maintenance.

The buyer of engines 8807.10-10 has the possibility of applying government support measures (subsidies, leasing), since PJSC “TMZ” has received an expert report confirming production on the territory of the Russian Federation in accordance with the government decree of July 17, 2015 No. 719.
