On the eve of May 9, Vladimir Stroyev, the rector of the State University of Management, took part in the solemn ceremony of laying flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. For the university, this is not just a formality but an important part of the overall work on preserving historical memory.

Vladimir Stroyev laid a wreath on behalf of the university and addressed the participants of the ceremony.

“Thank you to everyone who participated in the ceremony today. Congratulations on the upcoming Victory Day — perhaps the most important holiday that we will be celebrating this week. I wish everyone peace, tranquility, and future victory,” he noted.

Together with the rector at the event participated the vice-rector of the State University of Management Pavel Pavlovsky. Also, the delegation included more than 30 representatives of the university — students of the Institute of Sectoral Management, the Institute of Economics and Finance, and the Institute of Information Systems. Representatives of the “Veterans of Russia” movement, the airborne assault brigade, Moscow cadets, and volunteers assisting participants in the special military operation joined the ceremony.

The laying took place in a restrained and focused atmosphere. Participants honored those who did not return from the war by laying flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The memory of them remains a common point of support—a quiet and clear one without unnecessary words. It is precisely at such events that this is felt especially clearly.

The university is preparing for the visit of representatives of veterans’ organizations and military personnel, interaction with whom is developing and evolving into new joint initiatives.
