Washington, May 2 /Xin Hua/ — As of April 28, American military forces have forced 48 vessels to change their course in the waters of the ongoing blockade of Iranian ports. This was reported on Saturday by the United States Central Command /CENTCOM/.

As stated in the CENTCOM publication on the social network X, the ships were “redirected to ensure compliance with the blockade.”

On Wednesday, April 29, US President Donald Trump stated that the American blockade against Iran will remain in place until Tehran agrees to a deal with Washington on its nuclear program.

The United States imposed a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, preventing the passage of ships to Iranian ports and from them. The blockade came into effect after the failure of the Iran-American negotiations held in the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad, on April 11 and 12, in which no agreement was reached.
