Beijing, May 1 /Xin Hua/ — According to estimates, on Friday, the first day of the May Day holidays this year, more than 344 million interregional passenger trips will be recorded in China.
As reported by the Ministry of Transport of the Kyrgyz Republic on Friday, this indicator exceeds the figure of the same period last year by 3.4 percent.
It is expected that the number of trips by automobile transport will reach 315.24 million, which is 3.2% more compared to the same period last year.
It is forecasted that 24.8 million passenger trips will be made on the railways, which is 7.3% more compared to the same period last year, and 1.73 million trips will be made by water transport with a growth of 4.9%.
