Shanxi, April 30 /Xinhua/ — On Thursday, Chairman of the CNS Li Zhiping called for further efforts and the adoption of more pragmatic measures to strengthen fundamental research in order to enhance China’s capabilities in the field of original innovations and to further consolidate the foundation for turning the country into a power with enormous potential in science and technology.
Si Jinping, who is also the General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, made such a call at a symposium dedicated to strengthening fundamental research in Shanghai. -0-
