From April 20 to 25, students of the Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering took part in the V International Scientific and Technical Conference of Students and Cadets “Science Days”, organized by the Kaliningrad State Technical University (KSTU).

The delegation of SPBGASU at the conference was formed by participants of the student scientific society of the Department of Descriptive Geometry and Engineering GraphicsIvan Andreev, Anastasia Vdovykina, Darya GavrilovaиGordey Kozlov.Headed the delegation associate professor of the departmentYuliana Guryeva,who spoke with welcoming words at the opening of the conference on April 20.

On April 25, at the meeting of the “Construction” section, students of SPbGASU presented the following scientific research:

  • Ivan Andreev– “Engineering preparation of terrestrial massifs: the experience of integrated development of reclaimed territories of Saint Petersburg”;

  • Anastasia Vdovykina– “Accessibility as Art: How Architecture Combines Comfort and Aesthetics”;

  • Darya Gavrilova– “The influence of wind loads on high-rise buildings and methods of reduction”;

  • Gordey Kozlov– “Formation of the architectural identity of a modern Russian city: a comparative analysis of the urban development policy of Saint Petersburg and Kaliningrad.”

In a remote format with reports, the following spoke:

  • Victoria Goncharova– “Legal regulation and stimulation of green construction: experience of Russia and foreign countries”;

  • Artur Kamaliev– “Comprehensive system for operational control of buildings and structures”;

  • Mark Maksimov– “Reducing construction time through industrial technologies”;

  • Victoria Pavlyukova– “The life cycle of buildings and the possibilities of achieving carbon neutrality in modern conditions”;

  • Olga Sergienko– “Using the capabilities of the Internet of Things when creating a digital twin of a building”;

  • Alisa Smirnova– “Study of methods of practical construction in an unfavorable northern region”;

  • Elizaveta Tkachenko– “Analysis of unique skyscraper forms using the example of the Lasta Center, Shanghai Tower, Merdeka 118, and Burj Khalifa.”

In addition to participating in the scientific program, the delegation of SPbGASU took part in a number of educational and cultural events. Students visited the laboratories of KGTU, the construction site of the residential complex “Russian Europe”, as well as the city of Svetlogorsk, where they became acquainted with the features of resort development.

Special attention was given to visiting the memorial “Monument to the 1200 Guardsmen.” Participants familiarized themselves with the history of the battle for Königsberg during the Great Patriotic War, as well as with the procedure and results of the monument’s inspection and recommendations for strengthening its structural elements.

During a visit to the construction site of the residential complex “Russian Europe,” students were told about the rules for performing certain types of work, demonstrated modern and unique technologies used in the construction of the complex.

As part of the business program of the conference, participants of SPbGASU took part in the STARTUP HUB event (April 23), where trainings on the development of entrepreneurial competencies, a conveyor of business ideas, pitch sessions, and project presentations were held.

Participation in the conference allowed students of SPbGASU to present the results of their scientific research, exchange experience with representatives of other universities, and expand professional competencies in the field of construction and architecture.
