In the project «Active citizen» beganvotingon the selection of names for the first four electric vessels being built at the Moscow Shipyard. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.Maksim Liksutov.
Previously, electrical appliances were named in honor ofsmall rackcapitals, but this time the options will be related to city streets and historical localities.
“Following the instructions of Sergey Sobyanin, we continue to develop the city’s regular river transport network. We are opening voting to choose names for the first four electric vessels being built at the Moscow shipyard, as part of the ‘Active Citizen’ project. The vessels will be named in honor of slobodas and historic localities as well. Options include historical localities, including the slobodas of Moscow. Residents will be offered eight name options, from which they can choose up to four. Participants in the voting will receive points for the city loyalty program.

New vessel models feature increased passenger capacity, like the electric vessel of the previous delivery. To make trips comfortable at any time of the year, their cabins are equipped with climate control systems and personalized lighting. Thanks to high ceilings, panoramic windows, and a transparent roof, passengers can enjoy river landscapes.
New electric vessels are entirely assembled in Russia. Previously, they were built in Saint Petersburg, and now — in Moscow.
Today, three regular river routes operate in the capital: Kievsky — Park “Fili”, ZIL — Pechatniki, and Novospassky — ZIL, with a total length of about 30 kilometers. Thanks to this, more than 1.8 million people living in 22 districts of Moscow can use this new type of transport.
The voting was prepared by the project “Active Citizen” together with the capitalDepartment of Transport and Road Transport Infrastructure Development.
Project“Active citizen”has been operating since 2014. During this time, more than seven million people have joined it, with over 7,600 votes cast in total. Monthly, from 30 to 40 decisions are implemented in the city. The project is being developed by the State Corporation “New Management Technologies” and the capital’sDepartment of Information Technologies.
