The hockey club of the State University of Management for the fourth consecutive year is participating in the playoffs of the XII All-Russian Student Hockey League Championship, confirming its status as one of the strongest teams in the country.
At the group stage of the competition, 16 student teams from 11 regions met. As a result of the draw, the opponents of the GUU team in Group G were hockey players from the Far Eastern State Academy of Physical Culture, SPbGETU “LETI” and Saint Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design.
Our guys confidently defeated the opponents from the northern capital, crushing the “LETI” team with a score of 9:1, and the representatives of SPBUTD – with a result of 8:5. Thanks to two consecutive victories, “GUSSi” early solved the task of advancing from the group to the championship playoffs.
In the quarterfinals, the GUU team will face off against another St. Petersburg team – the “Griffons” from the Saint Petersburg State University of Economics (SPbSUE). This confrontation promises to be a real battle between two capitals.
