On April 21, a large-scale educational program that united expertise was completedCenter for Postgraduate Medical EducationInstitute of Medicine and Medical Technology(CPMO IMMT) NGU, global experience of the company NAOS (the Bioderma brand) and innovative approachStartup studio NGU.

Director of CPMO, professorIrina Sergeevatold about the main idea of the event:

During the three-month sprint of “Medical Marketing,” the teams worked on products within the #LetsTreatAcneTogether theme: they researched the audience, conducted interviews, tested hypotheses, assembled MVPs, and prepared solutions at the intersection of medicine, marketing, and digital products. #LetsTreatAcneTogether is a social project by the French dermocosmetic company NAOS and the BIODERMA brand. Its goal is to warmly and attentively support patients with acne, educate them about the disease, and help with choosing a dermatologist and therapy to achieve sustainable remission.

This very goal—to make the patient’s path to healthy skin clear and comfortable—was set by the teams when creating their innovative services. In the final, they presented their projects to an expert jury. The works were evaluated by industry professionals and representatives of the scientific community.

Sprint winnerbecame a project“Diary of Self-Observation.” Alena Shevchenko, Valeria ZemelиNikita KozorezDeveloped a solution for patients with acne: a structured diary with symptom and trigger tracking, photo comparison, and data export to PDF.

For our team, the sprint “Medical Marketing” ended with a victory and a won internship at NAOS,— shared Nikita, —We worked for two months on creating a self-observation diary, making great progress from conducting problem interviews and competitor analysis to creating a full-fledged working MVP! Thanks to the mentors and organizers for such valuable experience. And special thanks to Alyona and Valeria! During the sprint, we truly became a united team!

Alena ShevchenkoShe spontaneously decided to participate in the sprint, came to the in-person opening to watch and learn the details. The student was looking for competitions at NGU that could be included in the resume and that would allow her to demonstrate managerial and marketing skills. Alena was also attracted by the possibility of an internship in Moscow. After the in-person opening of the sprint, the student met Nikita, and later in the participant chat, the guys found a third team member — Valery.

I believe that the key to our victory is a cross-functional team: a product manager, a developer, and a resident physician. We truly operated as one whole, helping each other with tasks, and everyone was very proactive. We tested our minimum viable product (MVP) on a user, who happened to be my classmate. Right after the sprint ended, she said that she had been filling out our self-observation diary for several weeks. We hadn’t asked her to do this, so it was very pleasant to hear that our product proved its significance in practice! We already have plans for further development of the project. Before the internship trip, we will conduct long-term testing of the MVP. For this, we will ask our CA to fill out a diary over several months,— toldAlena.
