Islamabad, April 20 /Sin Hua/ — Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Makhammad Iqbal Dar held a telephone conversation on Monday with his Iranian colleague Abbas Araghchi. The parties discussed efforts to ensure a ceasefire and regional stability. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.

M. I. Dar pointed out the necessity of continuing the dialogue and operational interaction to resolve unresolved issues through diplomatic channels and to strengthen peace in the region.

As indicated by the Pakistani MOD, the parties have agreed to further maintain close contacts.

This was the second contact between foreign ministers of the two countries in less than 24 hours, indicating an activation of diplomatic efforts against the backdrop of Pakistan’s continued support for the process of peaceful resolution of regional conflicts.
