Beijing, April 20 /Xinhua/ — The 22nd session of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) of the 14th convocation will be held in the Chinese capital from April 27 to 30. During the session, deputies will continue reviewing the draft amendments to the Prison Law of the People’s Republic of China and will proceed to consider amendments to a number of other laws.

In accordance with the proposed agenda of the session, for the first time there will be considered drafts of amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on State Property of Enterprises, to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on Agriculture, to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on Mobilization for National Defense, and to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on Water.

The corresponding decision was made on Monday at the 65th meeting of the chairman and deputy chairmen of the PC of the VSNF of the 14th convocation, which was led by the chairman of the PC of the VSNF, Chzao Letsi.

In addition, during the session, drafts of the law on social assistance, the law on medical provision, and the law on land protection and quality improvement will be considered.

Lawmakers consider reports related to environmental issues, management of state property, and the authorities of individual deputies, as well as proposals on personnel changes.

At the meeting held on Monday, the priority directions of the PC of the VSNF and its work plans in the fields of legislation, oversight, parliamentary representation, and external activities for 2026 were reviewed and approved.
