Beijing, April 20 /Xinhua/ — The volume of passenger transportation in the field of civil aviation in China reached 66.63 million people in March of this year, an increase of 12.1 percent year-on-year, the Civil Aviation Administration of China reported on Monday.
In particular, the volume of passenger transportation on domestic routes amounted to 59.51 million people with an increase of 11.5%, and on international routes reached 7.12 million people with an increase of 17%, according to department data.
According to the report, the volume of transported cargo and postal shipments in the field of civil aviation for the specified period amounted to 851 thousand tons, which is 4.2% more than the previous year. At the same time, the volumes of domestic and international cargo air transportation increased annually by 1.3% and 7.8% to 458 thousand and 393 thousand tons, respectively. -0-
