Beijing, April 17 /Xinhua/ — Chairman of the NPC Xi Jinping on Friday sent a congratulatory message to Ismail Omar Guelleh on the occasion of his re-election as President of Djibouti.
In his message, Xi Jinping noted that China and Djibouti share deep traditional friendly relations and that in recent years both countries have strengthened political mutual trust and achieved fruitful results in practical cooperation. He also highly appreciated I.O. Gelle’s efforts to strengthen bilateral friendship, exchanges, and cooperation in various fields.
The Chairman of the Standing Committee noted that this greatly contributes to the development of China-Djibouti relations and is ready to work together with I.O. Gelle to continue resolutely supporting each other on issues concerning their key interests and important concerns, to implement the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, to continuously enrich the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Djibouti, and to bring even greater benefits to the peoples of both countries.
