April 12 marks a professional holiday — Cosmonautics Day.

Dear friends!

Congratulations on Cosmonautics Day.

This is a professional celebration of domestic science and industry, those who changed the course of history by providing the world’s first human flight into outer space.

Despite unprecedented challenges, Russian cosmonautics continues to strengthen its leading positions. Strategic projects aimed at reinforcing technological sovereignty, defense capability, and national security are being consistently implemented, primarily through the scaling of the orbital group. A batch launch of satellites for a communication service with global coverage has been carried out, as well as a new generation remote Earth sensing radar satellite. The results obtained from the second Bion-M biosatellite are already helping in the preparation of future manned expeditions to deep space. Engine tests for the Soyuz-5 rocket and the modernization of the launch complex for the heavy Angara launch vehicles at the Vostochny Cosmodrome have been successfully completed.

All these achievements have become possible thanks to the coordinated work of many thousands of highly qualified employees – engineers, researchers, designers, testers, and cosmonauts. Your dedication to the cause, competence, and determination allow the industry to confidently develop. You solve the most complex tasks daily, implement the most modern technologies, including artificial intelligence systems, and make an invaluable contribution to the establishment of the Russian rocket and space industry, enhancing its competitiveness and the quality of life of millions of our citizens.

Special words of gratitude to the veterans, whose example inspires new generations of specialists.

I wish you further professional success for the benefit of the Fatherland, strong health, and all the best to you and your loved ones.

M. Mishustin
