Representatives of state authorities and public organizations involved in the implementation of youth policy summed up the results of Rosmolodezh’s activities in 2025 and talked about the plan for 2026.
“All our activities are carried out within the framework of the national project “Youth and Children” – the largest in terms of the number of events and audience, which it covers – that is 52 million people. Thanks to it, we create equal opportunities for children and youth throughout the country. By 2025, not only were all planned targets achieved – many were overfulfilled. In the projects of professional and personal development, 20% more kids are already involved than planned, and the plan for labor-market youth orientation events has been exceeded by 23%,” said the deputy prime minister.
He noted that there is a very important and serious task ahead of the youth: to involve the veterans of the special military operation in youth policy and patriotic education.
“It is fundamentally important not only to give our heroes the opportunity to realize their mentoring potential. We need this much more – to involve these young people. It is important that they participate in the life of our society, passing on their experience and values that they have solidified, proven with their entire lives and feats. It is absolutely natural that heroes serve as examples for the younger generation,” he said.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that there is a program called “Time of Heroes” to address this task, which last year involved more than 220 people. One of the members of this unique team, whose mentor is Dmitry Chernishenko, developed the patriotic tourism project “Your Own Path.” Currently, the integration of this project into the “More than a Journey” program is being worked out, with the involvement of SVO participants.
Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized the development of the volunteer movement and thanked the volunteers who “give the most precious thing they have – their time, which they could have spent on something else: entertainment, rest, but they invest it in the future of our country, sometimes risking their lives.” He noted that almost 10 million volunteers are registered on the Dobro.RF platform, more than 700 thousand requests for assistance were fulfilled last year alone, and almost 250 humanitarian missions were organized. Right now, more than 2,500 volunteers are providing assistance in Dagestan.
The Deputy Prime Minister stated that the “First Movement” is the largest movement of children and youth, which already counts more than 14 million participants. More than 54 thousand primary branches have been opened across the country.
He paid special attention to the construction of modern youth spaces: “Our President says that creating conditions in which everyone can fully realize their potential is our focus and will remain so. Thanks to the ‘Region for the Youth’ program, by 2025, 100 thousand square meters of youth spaces have been renovated.”
The Deputy Prime Minister added that increasing the visibility of youth centers is the same priority as digital modernization.
Among the priorities in the work of Rosmolodezh, Dmitry Chernyshenko outlined work with veterans of the special military operation, children and adolescents from high-risk groups, raising the cultural and spiritual level of youth, supporting young families, and strengthening interdepartmental cooperation.
The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the regions for preparing the regional program of the International Youth Festival, which will take place after the official part in Yekaterinburg. He instructed to consider mechanisms for increasing awareness about the youth center and to use the “Generation Index” tool in order to receive feedback on the work being carried out.
The Chairman of the Board, Head of Rosmolodezh Grigory Gurov spoke about the legislative strengthening of the youth policy sphere and thanked colleagues from other departments and organizations for their fruitful work throughout the year.
“This year we set several key ideological tasks for ourselves. They concern the translation of cross-cutting meanings and values. It is important to translate the conversation about values into lived experience, to create a unified environment for education and youth policy, to continue working with participants and veterans of the special military operation and their families, to strengthen the recognition of measures of the national project ‘Youth and Children’, to build work with neglected audiences and young people who found themselves in difficult life situations,” noted Grigory Gurov.
At the collegium meeting, Sergey Novikov, head of the Presidential Directorate for Public Projects of the Russian Federation; Alexander Varfolomeev, senator of the Russian Federation and first deputy chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy; Artur Orlov, Chairman of the Board of the “Perviy” Movement and Hero of Russia; and others also participated.
