From April 7 to 12 in the pavilion“Model of Moscow”Space Week will take place. Interactive events, lectures, and thematic shows are planned for guests of various ages. The program was developed in collaboration with the “Cosmonautics and Aviation” center. This was announced by the Minister of the Government of Moscow, head of the capital’s Department of Urban Policy.Vladislav Ovchinsky.

“Guests of the pavilion will be able to celebrate World Aviation and Cosmonautics Day against the backdrop of the most accurate architectural model of the capital. We have created a program so that space becomes closer and more understandable to everyone — through a game, live communication, and personal participation. Such projects not only help our guests learn new things and broaden their horizons, but also strengthen the status of the capital as a center for breakthrough technological and urban planning solutions,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky.

Visitors will be able to take part in a space quiz, which will be held every day at 12:40, 15:40, and 18:40. Those who answer the questions correctly will receive commemorative prizes. This format allows not only to play but also to learn more about space and feel part of a scientific dialogue.

Most of the program was dedicated to lectures. The first lecture — “Ski Track, Anastasia and the Elk’s Nest: A View of Russia’s Peoples on the Celestial Vault” — will take place on April 9 at 18:00. On April 11 at 17:00, guests are invited to the meeting “Life Beyond the Cradle: Dreams and Concepts.” The cycle will conclude on April 12 at 18:00 with the lecture “Beacons in the Ocean of Stars.” Senior guides from the center “Cosmonautics and Aviation” will talk about space in a simple and lively language.

A separate program has been prepared for young visitors. On April 12, a master class on creating a cosmic panel will be held in Pavilion No. 58 “Agriculture” (Museum of Slavic Writing “Slovo”). This format allows not only to learn something new but also to create something with your own hands.

In addition, all week there will be light and sound shows every 30 minutes from 11:00 to 19:30, except during lecture times. The short but impressive shows will complement the program and provide an opportunity to see the Universe in all its beauty.

The “Moscow Model” pavilion was opened in October 2017 with the participation of Sergey Sobyanin. This unique space attracts attention with its detail, allowing you to view the capital in miniature. For residents and guests of the city, the model serves as a visual example of urban planning: it shows how the capital’s territories are developing, how new projects are integrated into the existing environment, and how the future appearance of Moscow is being formed.

You can visit the “Maket Moskvy” pavilion for free from 10:00 to 20:00 daily. Detailed information, schedule, and registration for excursions are available atsite.
