The number of students studying IT specialties at a college in Moscow has grown by almost 10 percent and reached about 23 thousand. At the same time, about two-thirds of upperclassmen received job offers even before graduation, the press service reported.capitalDepartment of Education and Science.
“Specialists in the field of information technologies are being trained in 19 capital city colleges. Students master 12 in-demand specialties. Among them are game development and work with virtual reality, quantum communications, as well as computer systems and complexes, network and system administration, programming, information security,” the press service of the department reported.

Thanks to this, more than 70 percent of the study time is devoted to practice and solving real cases, and students from the first years work with domestic software. His interest in the IT field appeared while he was still in school, where he participated in mathematics and computer science olympiads. Already in the second year of college, Vladislav began building his career: at the educational center “Sirius” he presented a project for a website to automate the placement of student internships. After that, he received an invitation for an internship at a major Russian construction company. There, the young man was engaged in transferring the organization’s large-scale information system to an internal infrastructure and ensuring the stable, secure, and uninterrupted operation of digital services.
At the end of the internship, Vladislav gave a presentation on artificial intelligence and received an offer to continue working at the company. He now leads a team of nine people in the artificial intelligence laboratory and also develops and implements AI solutions, advancing digital systems.
According to Vladislav, after the ninth grade, he had the opportunity to start working immediately in the IT field. The system of secondary professional education opened access to rapid career growth. Now he is 19 years old, he heads a department and performs various tasks, for example, improving the company’s internet resources — from the development and architecture to optimizing speed and user convenience.
Pavel Fedotov knew since he was 14 that he would work with code. After ninth grade, the young man chose a college where he would be taught programming and information systems development, and after the open house day atpolitical college named after P.A. OvchinnikovHe decided to go there. Today he is studying in the fourth year and recently completed an internship in a group of companies specializing in the design and production of engineering equipment. There he was engaged in the development of software for technical complexes. After graduation, Pavla is awaited at the company as a permanent employee.
“By choosing a specialty, I wanted to immerse myself in the profession as early as possible and gain not only theoretical knowledge but also practical experience. Thanks to college, I managed to do an internship where I got involved in the work processes and acquired professional skills. The internship supervisor regularly noted my successes. Today, I continue to develop in IT, and in a few months I will be able to contribute and make my contribution to the future of the industry in real production,” Pavel shared.
Earlier, the Mayor of Moscow announced that a modern [facility] will open in the capitalIT college. It will take almost eight thousand students and will train future specialists in key industry areas — from software development to cybersecurity.
