The second Tender Hack hackathon of this year took place in the capital, the main task of which was to create services for the modernization of the supplier portal. IT tournament teams developed algorithms for a personalized product search prototype. This was reported by the head of the Moscow city Department for Competition Policy.Kirill Purtov.
“We regularly hold hackathons to search for innovative solutions and improve the convenience of the supplier portal for users. The second IT tournament this year gathered 103 participants in 28 teams from five Russian cities: Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, and Innopolis. One of the tasks was to create a prototype of a learnable search that helps to rank results in the most personalized way for customers and entrepreneurs, based on history and procurement and interaction with catalog positions. Additionally, participants had to define indicators to assess the accuracy and speed of the search operation.”Such an innovation potentially improves the user experience on the platform. The best solutions proposed by hackathon participants can be implemented on the resource,” noted Kirill Purtov.
A total of five projects made it to the final. As a result of the competition, the first place was taken by the Moscow team L4@CU. The team captain, Vladislav Chernikov, admitted that the case was one of the most difficult that the team had to face, but this only stimulated the team to take first place. The second and third places were taken by the capital teams AiRina and Shadow striker.
Both novice specialists and students, as well as experienced professionals, could participate in the competition. The average age of the contestants is 22 years.
The hackathon took place within the framework of the “Days of Moscow Competition” forum, which has been held since 2019.
