An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

The airline Red Wings has made 20 flights over the past two years and transported more than 3 tons of cargo to the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The customer for the transportation is Roscosmos.

Red Wings monthly performs “space” flights on the Russian SSJ 100 aircraft from the international airport “Zhukovsky.” The cargo includes products and food rations for cosmonauts, clothing, footwear, personal items of crews, stationery, and specialized equipment.

Only in March of this year did the airline deliver 1,167 kg of cargo, which was then sent into orbit on the spacecraft “Progress MS-33.” Thus, civil aviation participates in the space program on par with other services.

Red Wings took 5th place in terms of the number of passengers transported on international routes in 2025 among Russian airlines. Today, Red Wings’ fleet includes 23 modern domestic airliners. The airline uses only Russian aircraft on regular routes.
