Beijing, April 7 /Xinhua/ — Premier of the State Council Li Qiang signed a State Council resolution on the publication of a new regulation governing the safety of production and sales chains.

A document consisting of 18 articles, coming into force from the date of publication, is designed to prevent safety risks in the production and supply chain, to increase the level of resilience and safety, thereby protecting socio-economic stability and national security.

The provision clearly defines the principles of work to ensure the safety of production and sales chains, including assistance to the stable and uninterrupted functioning of global production and sales chains and support for breakthroughs in key and most important technologies.

The document is aimed at improving institutional measures to ensure the stability and continuity of production and circulation of raw materials, technologies, equipment, and products in key sectors.

The provision also stipulates that China will establish an investigation mechanism in the field of the security of production and supply chains, within which specialized departments will be able to initiate investigations and take responsive measures against foreign states, regions or international organizations, as well as foreign organizations or individuals undermining the security of production and supply chains of the PRC.
