The Chairman of the Government Mikhail Mishustin signed an order on debt write-off on budget loans for 11 more regions. The adopted decision will allow to ease the debt burden on the budget system of the subjects.

The write-off applies to the republics of Altai, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Mari El, Tuva, Zabaykalsky Krai, Bryansk, Kirov, Ryazan, Saratov and Ulyanovsk regions. The total amount of the write-off will be 10.1 billion rubles.

The volume of write-offs corresponds to the amount of investments of these regions in housing and communal services modernization projects, resettlement of citizens from emergency housing, industrial development fund recapitalization, as well as in the implementation of national projects.

“Debt write-off will also allow them to generate an additional impetus for further improvement of business working conditions and raising the living standards of citizens,” noted Mikhail Mishustin atmeeting with the deputy prime ministers on April 6.

The rules for writing off regional debt on budget loans and the list of directions for using the released funds were approved by the Government in February 2025. Work on easing the debt burden of the regions is being carried out under the instructions of the President, who is the head of state and gave this order following the results of his Address to the Federal Assembly in 2024.
