SPBGASU team at the Olympiad
Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering continues to strengthen its position as a leading center for training specialists in the field of geodesy and cadastral accounting. Last week was marked by two significant events for the university: the holding of an international dictation and a successful performance by the team at the regional Olympiad.
Dictation
For the second consecutive year, SPBGASU becomes the venue for the international educational campaign “Land-Cadastral Dictation.” This project unites more than 100 universities worldwide, creating a unified space for testing knowledge in the field of land resource management.
More than 50 students took part in the action at the walls of SPBGASU. The format of the dictation went beyond standard testing: participants were offered extraordinary questions that required not only deep theoretical knowledge but also professional ingenuity. Such events allow future specialists to assess their level of training in conditions as close as possible to solving real cases from professional practice.
Olympiad
Students in the field of “Land Management and Cadastre” demonstrated excellent practical training: based on the results of the regional selection for the International Olympiad “Geo-Challenge,” the SPbGASU team took third place.
The competition program, held at the Saint Petersburg State Agrarian University, included a series of complex tests in the key disciplines “Land Management”, “Cadastre”, and “Geodesy.” Participants competed both in theoretical tests and in performing practical tasks on the terrain and in specialized software.

The ‘Geo-Challenge’ Olympiad is a serious test that checks the ability to quickly navigate interdisciplinary tasks. Third place at the regional stage confirms that the theoretical foundation students receive at SPbGASU fully meets the modern industry requirements. I am proud of the result of each participant.”
