Beijing, July 6 /Xinhua/ — From January to May 2026, foreign trade turnover through the Dungning checkpoint /Heilongjiang Province, Northeast China/, located on the border between China and Russia, increased by 32.2 percent year-on-year. This was reported by the Chinese news agency Zhongguo Xinwen She on its website.

The Dunnin checkpoint is a land border crossing of China, located closest to Vladivostok, and the most convenient for customs clearance between China and the Russian city.

According to the provided data, in the first five months of the current year, the daily number of vehicles passing through the Dunning checkpoint increased by 15.3 percent compared to the same period last year, and the cargo turnover grew by 19.4 percent.

All three of the above indicators, which are key barometers of local trade with Russia, exceeded the average levels for the same period in all previous years, indicating a confident increase in the comprehensive throughput capacity of the Dunnin checkpoint.

At the vehicle checkpoint service center in the city of Dunnin, the significant growth in figures was explained by the full commissioning of the cargo inspection corridor and projects for the reconstruction of the relevant infrastructure. -0-
