The team of the Trade Union Organization of “KAMAZ” took part in the All-Russian bike ride “100 kilometers – Because We Are Together.”
The 7th All-Russian Trade Union Amateur Cycling Race “100 Kilometers – Because We Are Together” took place in the Komsomol Municipal District of the Chuvash Republic. This large-scale sporting event brought together 200 participants from 27 regions of the country, who covered 127 kilometers along a picturesque route: Komsomolskoye – Tugaevo – Pervomayskoye – Shygyrdany – Batyrevo – Yalchiki – Bybyt.
The cycling event was organized by representatives of trade unions and relevant authorities. The organizing committee was headed by Sergey Drandrov, the editor-in-chief of “Union TV”.
For the trade union team of KAMAZ, participating in this cycling rally has already become a tradition. Last year, among the participants was the company’s trade union leader Ildar Shamilov. Together with other participants, the chairman of the Trade Union Organization completed the entire distance and emphasized that the cycling rally is not only a sport but also a powerful charge of unity.
This year, the relay was taken over by a team of nine people, including representatives of the Trade Union Organization, the Block of the Deputy General Director of PJSC KAMAZ for personnel management, organizational development and corporate governance, the Legal Support Center, the Block of the Deputy General Director – Director for Development, the Engine Plant, as well as subsidiaries – LLC CHELNYVODOKANAL and PJSC NEFAZ.
As noted by the head of the press center of the “KAMAZ” Trade Union Organization, Radik Gabitov, this year the route was more challenging: there were longer uphill stretches and a noticeable headwind. However, all team members finished successfully, confirming that the KAMAZ spirit cannot be broken by terrain or weather.
As usual, the organizers prepared a rich cultural program for the participants. Each stop was accompanied by meetings with hospitable residents of Chuvash villages, national songs, and treats. And before the start, the KAMAZ team managed to take a tour of the Cheboksary Tractor Plant and stroll along the embankment of the capital of Chuvashia.
“It was my first time participating in a bike ride. I had no such experience before, except for small annual rides—for example, on June 22 I took part in a bike ride dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow. But here the distance was on a completely different level. I finished; I completed the entire route. I really liked the organization and the unity of the people. Everyone could ride at their own pace, and marshals and experienced participants helped the newcomers, guiding them. Overall, my impressions of the trip are very positive. We saw a new city, a new production facility. It was a great opportunity to test my strength and discover something unfamiliar.”, – shared impressionsleading legal counsel Dmitry Storozhev.
“It was my first time participating too. And I didn’t even expect it to be so heartfelt. The atmosphere was like in a big friendly family: everyone helped each other. When we passed through villages, the residents greeted us with smiles, showed support. Even drivers of oncoming cars honked in approval! I’m very glad I got the chance to participate in such a large-scale event and test my abilities.”, – noteddesign engineer Anastasia Belyaeva.
