Beijing, July 2 /Xinhua/ — The official spokesperson of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Guo Jiakun, on Thursday criticized the so-called concept of Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi regarding a “free and open Indo-Pacific region”.
“She supposedly advocates openness and freedom, but in reality, her agenda is aimed at confrontation and conflict,” Guo Jiakun said at a recent press conference, adding that this contradicts the common pursuit of peace, development, and cooperation among the countries in the region.
