Baku, July 1 /Xinhua/ — 93.6% of participants in the nationwide public opinion poll positively evaluated the activities of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and 87.7% expressed trust in the head of state. These results were published on Wednesday by the Azerbaijani Media Development Agency.
The survey was conducted to study citizens’ attitudes towards the president’s activities in the first half of 2026 and to assess the dynamics of public sentiment.
91.5% of respondents said they would vote for I. Aliyev if the presidential election were held next Sunday.
At the same time, 81.9 percent of respondents named I. Aliyev as the unrivaled political leader in terms of ensuring stability. The agency noted that this figure has increased compared to previous studies and remains high across all socio-demographic groups.
The survey was conducted by personal interview from May 20 to 30, 2026. It included 1210 respondents aged 18 and older. –0–
