Budapest, April 7 /Xin Hua/ — US Vice President Jay Di Wens stated on Tuesday that the United States has largely achieved its military objectives in the operation against Iran and has set a deadline for Tehran’s response to the call for negotiations.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in Budapest, J. D. Vance promised that Washington will continue to limit Iran’s capabilities in weapons production.

The American vice president warned that Tehran has less and less time to enter negotiations, otherwise the country risks facing new economic difficulties. According to him, the resolution of the conflict in the near future depends on Tehran’s response.

He noted that discussions on the terms of a potential agreement continue, emphasizing that Iran is trying to create economic problems through actions affecting the Strait of Hormuz.

As J. D. Vance indicated, the United States set a deadline of approximately 12 hours to respond to the call for negotiations. The Vice President of the USA expressed hope for a “favorable response” that would allow the resumption of oil supplies. –0–
