Khartoum, June 30 /Xinhua/ — At least 18 people were killed and one injured in a traffic accident that occurred on Tuesday in the Nile province in northern Sudan, Sudanese police reported.
According to the police statement, a truck swerved into the oncoming lane of a secondary road in the Kubkaba area and collided with a passenger car traveling in the opposite direction.
It is clarified that the victim was taken to the Abu Hammad hospital.
The statement also notes that the road police officers of the Nile province promptly traveled to the scene of the incident, transported the bodies of the deceased, took the injured to the hospital, and carried out all necessary legal procedures under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office. –0–
