Tehran, April 6 /Xinhua/ — The supreme leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei, expressed condolences over the death of the high-ranking general of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Majid Khadimi, stating that “murders and crimes” against the Iranian leadership will not change the country’s course.
In a written statement, M. Khamenei condemned the head of the intelligence of the Ministry of Intelligence and Security, M. Khademi, for decades of “silent efforts in the field of security, intelligence, and defense” of Iran.
The rebel leader also accused Israel and the USA of, after the “series of consecutive defeats,” turning to “terrorism and killings.” M. Khademi was killed in Tehran on Monday as a result of an air strike, for which Israel took responsibility.
