Beijing, June 30 /Xinhua/ — Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and chairman of the All-China Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), attended on Monday in Beijing a consultative symposium on creating a strong domestic market, during which he called for improving political research and formulating practical proposals to help build a sustainable domestic market.
Van Khunin made this appeal at the advisory symposium following inspections and studies presented by the central committees of democratic parties and non-partisan figures.
Highly appreciating their active participation in research and studies on the creation of a strong domestic market and the proposals they put forward, Wang Huning emphasized that building a strong domestic market provides strategic support in forming a new development model and promoting high-quality development, and is also an important task in further comprehensively deepening reforms and building a high-level socialist market economy system.
He called for focusing on the tasks set for the implementation period of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), conducting in-depth research, and putting forward more constructive proposals on key issues related to building a strong domestic market, so as to prepare more substantive and practical recommendations for the Party and government in order to provide a basis for making scientifically informed decisions and implementing effective measures by the Party and government.
Representatives of democratic parties and nonpartisan activists presented the results of research and put forward practical and well-founded policy proposals at the symposium held by Li Ganjie, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee. -0-
