Joint programs, student and cultural exchanges – GUU strengthens academic cooperation with colleagues from China.
On June 26, a delegation from the State University of Management, led by Vice-Rector Dmitry Bryukhanov, attended a reception at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Moscow, dedicated to the Cross Years of Sino-Russian cooperation in the field of education.
On this day, a photo exhibition “Cooperation between China and Russia in the field of education: past and present” was held at the Embassy, which was attended by heads of relevant departments and leading Russian universities.
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Russian Federation Zhang Hanhui noted that the educational cooperation between our countries “is at the peak of bilateral relations.” Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Konstantin Mogilevsky announced plans to strengthen Russian-Chinese academic cooperation on the part of the ministry.
The visit of the GUU delegation was another step in strengthening academic ties between our university and educational institutions in China. The cooperation opens up prospects for joint educational programs, conducting joint scientific research with Chinese educational institutions, and developing academic mobility for students and faculty.
Recall that since 2014, GUU has been jointly implementing a Russian-Chinese dual degree program with Ningbo University. Cooperation agreements have been signed with six higher education institutions in China in various fields. GUU students traditionally participate in the summer language school at Harbin Polytechnic University, while students from Ningbo University attend the GUU summer educational school, where they study Russian and complete a training program in the field of e-commerce organization.
