Beijing, June 29 /Xinhua/ — General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Xi Jinping will present the highest party award — the July 1 Medal — to particularly outstanding CPC members at a solemn gathering commemorating the 105th anniversary of the party’s founding.
Xi Jinping, who is also the President of China and the Chairman of the Central Military Commission, will deliver an important speech at this event, which will take place on July 1st and start at 10:00 at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
The Communist Party of China was founded on July 1, 1921.
The meeting will also recognize the achievements of other outstanding CPC members, party workers, and leading grassroots party organizations across the country.
The event will be broadcast live by China Media Group and the Xinhuanet.com website. Simultaneous retransmission will be provided by leading media websites including people.cn, cctv.com, and china.com.cn, as well as the mobile applications of the People’s Daily newspaper, Xinhua, and China Central Television. –0–
