Recently, the first wind turbine of the first phase of the 150 MW wind power project was successfully installed in Qiongyai County, Shannan City, Tibet Autonomous Region, as part of the 440 MW Qiongyai Wind Power Base project of China Huadian Corporation, implemented by the Second Engineering Bureau of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC). This event marks an important milestone in the construction of the mountain wind power installation, whose highest point reaches an altitude of 5350 meters; the project has fully entered the critical stage of wind turbine installation. It is known that the first phase of the project will deploy 24 wind generator units of 6.25 MW each, as well as auxiliary facilities such as power transmission lines, transmission line towers, and a 220 kV booster station. The wind turbine installation sites are distributed at altitudes ranging from 4800 to 5350 meters.
