Bishkek, June 27 /Xin Hua/ — The International Secretariat of the World Nomad Games (WNIG) has released the official promo video of the 2026 Games titled “The Call Begins Here,” marking the launch of a global communication campaign. This was reported on Friday by the Kyrgyz National Information Agency Kabar.
The video presents DCI — a global celebration of sport, culture, and living heritage. It tells the story of connections that unite generations, cultures, and traditions, emphasizing the values that continue to bring people together across borders.
The promo video shows landscapes of Kyrgyzstan. Viewers are invited to discover for themselves the nomadic heritage of the country, get acquainted with its traditional sports, and meet people who have been preserving these traditions for centuries for future generations.
The video will be used as part of the entire international VIK-2026 campaign on digital platforms, on international media, at official presentations, and at promotional events worldwide.
WIC is an international cultural and sporting event aimed at preserving, developing, and popularizing ethnic sports and the traditional culture of nomadic peoples of the world. They were first held in 2014 in Kyrgyzstan. Subsequently, the 2nd and 3rd WIC were held in the same country in 2016 and 2018, respectively. The 4th Games took place in Turkey in 2022, and the 5th will be held in 2024 in Kazakhstan.
The 6th World Nomad Games will take place this year from August 31 to September 6 in Kyrgyzstan. The opening ceremony will be held in the capital of the republic, Bishkek, while the main sports and cultural events will be held in the Issyk-Kul region.
