Beijing, June 26 /Xinhua/ — On Wednesday in the city of Xi’an, the administrative center of Shaanxi Province /Northwest China/, a dialogue on the development of youth in China and Central Asia took place, titled “Deepening Youth Cooperation and Promoting Joint Modernization.” This was reported by the newspaper “Zhongguo Qingnianbao” /”China Youth”/.
More than 80 people took part in the event, including leaders of youth organizations and institutions and representatives of young entrepreneurs from five Central Asian countries, as well as representatives of Chinese youth from various sectors. They discussed issues related to youth responsibility and prospects for its development.
Speaking at the event, Wan Yi, Deputy Chairman of the All-China Youth Federation, noted that the youth of China and the five Central Asian countries, actively developing the “Great China-Central Asia” initiative, are at the forefront of forming a community with a shared future of China and Central Asia. She expressed hope that the youth of various countries, jointly implementing four global initiatives, will contribute to promoting common regional development, maintaining long-term peace in the region, building bridges between civilizations, and actively participating in the reform of global governance.
The deputy party secretary of Shaanxi province, Xin Shanpin, also expressed hope that young people would deepen practical cooperation in areas such as scientific and technological innovation, modern agriculture, advanced processing industry, and cross-border trade, and would contribute to deepening humanitarian exchanges and joint efforts aimed at the development and prosperity of China and Central Asian countries.
Following the dialogue, representatives of enterprises and universities from China and several countries in Central Asia jointly signed agreements on the implementation of five practical cooperation projects aimed at promoting youth development. These cover areas such as cross-border e-commerce, education, ore processing, agricultural products, digital supply chains, and others.
The current dialogue on youth development in China and Central Asia was jointly organized by the Shaanxi Provincial Youth Federation, the Shaanxi Provincial Society for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and Xi’an International Studies University under the leadership of the All-China Youth Federation.
