Washington, June 24 /Xin Hua/ — US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that Iran assured Washington that it does not intend to demand the payment of duties, transit fees, or any other payments from ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. He warned that negotiations between the two parties will be immediately terminated if this information turns out to be false.
“Iran informed the United States that, contrary to the circulated provocative fake news claiming the opposite, Iran does not demand and does not receive any duties, transit payments, or other charges from ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz,” wrote the American president on the social network Truth Social.
“If this information turns out to be false, the negotiations will be immediately stopped!” — warned D. Trump. –0–
