On June 10, at the Educational Center for Project-Based Learning of SPbGASU, the results of the competition on information modeling were summed up, the organizer of which, in cooperation with the university, was the engineering company “Center for Software Solutions”.

Throughout the month, students created a digital information model of a physical fitness and wellness complex in the Model Studio CS software.

Before starting the design, it was necessary to develop regulations for organizing teamwork, and subsequently – to interact with technical support in the form of project experts. The experts assessed the quality of the model, as well as the organization of the work.

The first place was awarded to team No. 5 consisting of students from the third and fourth years of the Faculty of Engineering Ecology and Urban Economy (FIEGH).Mariia Balyireva, Ekaterina Vinogradova, Aleksandra Vitsina, Authorities of Kurtinaitis,Nikita Lyamshev,Maksim ManykaevиVera Soldatova.Specialists noted the best regulations and excellent team interaction of these participants.

Second place – for team No. 3. It included fourth-year female students from the Faculty of Construction.Nina Gagulina, Anzhelika Yakovlevaand a first-year student of FIEIHPolina Orlova.

The best in the individual competition were BIM coordinator Vera Soldatova and Vlad Kurtinaitis (architectural and structural solutions).

All the winners were awarded certificates, cash prizes, and gifts.

In the opinion of experts, the “showcase competition” demonstrated that SPbGASU students are ready to solve complex problems, work in a team, and learn new things. Even if not everything worked out the first time — the feedback from experts gave them a clear vector for professional growth.
