Beijing, June 22 /Xinhua/ — For the first five months of 2026, China’s ordinary public budget revenues grew by 4 percent year-on-year to 10.0465 trillion yuan (about 1.47 trillion USD), according to official data published on Monday, indicating continued growth in budgetary receipts.
According to data from the Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China, the growth rates of the above-indicated indicators turned out to be 0.5 percentage points higher than in the first four months of the current year.
Tax revenues reached 8.2617 trillion yuan, increasing by 4.4 percent year-on-year, while non-tax revenues grew by 2.2 percent to 1.7848 trillion yuan.
Expenditures of the country’s ordinary public budget for the first five months of 2026 amounted to 11.3877 trillion yuan, which is 0.8% more compared to the same period last year, while expenditures on key directions received the necessary support. -0-
