Chanchun, June 22 /Sinhua/ — On June 18, the first batch of 10 trucks for cross-border e-commerce at the new Hunchun Comprehensive Pilot Zone in the city of Hunchun /Jilin Province, Northeast China/ successfully passed customs clearance inspection for departure, marking the official transition of this pilot zone into the stage of functional testing. It is expected that it will pass acceptance and be put into operation in July.
The new Hunxun Border Crossing Point (BCP) is designed and built in accordance with the standards of advanced border crossing points in China. In terms of overall construction level, equipment, and comprehensive service capabilities, it ranks among the best among similar automobile border crossing points in the country.
This TPP is equipped with 8 inbound and 8 outbound cargo corridors, as well as 10 inbound and 10 outbound passenger corridors, and also features developed infrastructure including standardized warehouse facilities and an intelligent control system, fully meeting the long-term development needs of various cross-border enterprises.
The overall throughput capacity of the new Kunlun CPP exceeds the figures of the old CPP by more than 3 times. The design capacity is 2 million tons of cargo and 2 million passengers per year, which allows fully meeting the growing demand of the Qizilin province for cross-border trade with Russia.
