Kyrgyzstan, China, and Azerbaijan Became Georgia’s Largest Export Partners in the First Five Months of 2026

Tbilisi, June 20 /Xin Hua/ — Kyrgyzstan, China, and Azerbaijan became the largest importers of Georgian goods in the period from January to May 2026. This was reported on Friday by the National Statistics Service of Georgia /Geostat/.

According to departmental data, exports to Kyrgyzstan amounted to 355.2 million dollars, to China — 327.5 million dollars, to Azerbaijan — 269.3 million dollars. The top 10 largest partner countries accounted for 70.3 percent of the country’s total exports.

The largest partners for the export of goods to Georgia during the reporting period were Turkey /1.162 billion dollars/, Russia /983.4 million dollars/ and China /849.7 million dollars/. The share of the top 10 supplier countries amounted to 70.9 percent of Georgia’s total imports.

For the first five months of 2026, the largest export commodity group of Georgia was passenger cars — 734.6 million dollars, or 23.6% of total exports. Next come oil and petroleum products, followed by ores and concentrates of precious metals.

Passenger cars also led imports — 1.251 billion dollars, or 17.1 percent of the total volume. They were followed by oil, petroleum products, and pharmaceuticals. –0–
